About Tehran American School Association
In the Fall of 1981, Joe Condrill, Class of 1973, received a letter from Pam Thomas, Class of 1972, about a reunion she was organizing for anyone from Tehran American School. Pam’s reunion happened in the Houston area in June 1982 and attracted over 200 former TAS students, alumni, and faculty. This reunion was just meant to be a one-time reunion.
After all the hard work Pam and her parents, Neil & Ouida Thomas (TAS Faculty & Parents 1965-76), did for this reunion, there was an opportunity to keep the TAS community alive and going, so Joe assumed this responsibility, and in July 1982, created an alumni group for anyone connected with TAS called the Tehran American School Association (TASA).
Today TASA sends out regular email updates, a printed annual TASA newsletter, a bi-annual directory, and sponsors a reunion approximately every three years.
